The Hamburg Rathaus was built in 1897, has more rooms than the Buckingham Palace and is one of the most iconic buildings in the city. We have the pleasure to cordially invite you to attend a private tour of this impressive landmark in the English language on March 20th, organized by the Senate Protocol of the City of Hamburg. 

The tour will start at 5:30pm inside the Rathaus and last for approximately one hour. Among other highlights, it will also cover the chamber and the magnificent ballrooms.

After the tour, we will treat ourselves to a three-course dinner menu at the Restaurant “Parlament” (in the Remter room).

We are pleased to invite you to a guided tour on the USS Mount Whitney on June 16 at 9:20 am in Kiel.

REGISTRATION NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE 5:30 TODAY, JUNE 13TH! 

Usually stationed in Gaeta, Italy, the flagship of the United States Sixth Fleet pays Kiel a visit during the annual Kieler Woche on its way back to Italy from the annual Baltops maneuver.

All participants are expected at the Hauptwache of the Marinestützpunkt in Kiel (Kiellinie 249, 24106 Kiel) until 9:20 am on June 16 and must bring their ID/Passports with them. The tour will start at 10 am.

Register simply by eMail to assistant@americanclub.de stating your name(s), nationality, date of birth, ID/Ausweisnummer as well as your cell phone number. This is an absolute necessity, without these details, no access will be granted.

We are happy to announce that there won’t be a participation fee for this event.

Please note that registrations won’t be possible after 5:30 pm today and can only be confirmed if all above mentioned information was provided.

This year, Club Members, friends and family will celebrate exclusively at one of Hamburg’s most beautiful locations on the Elbe—the rooftop terrace of the Hard Rock Café overlooking the harbor! American style food (mini burgers, chicken wings and tupelos, brownies) and 3 drinks (draft beer, soft drinks) will be included in your entrance price.

Dinner Speech With Tagesthemen’s Ingo Zamperoni At The US Consulate @ US Consulate General, Hamburg

We are delighted to invite you to an American Club speech with Ingo Zamperoni at the U.S. Consulate General, affectionately known as the Little White House on the Alster, with its gracious host, U.S. Consul General Richard T. Yoneoka.

The reception doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event will wrap up around 9:30 p.m. The title of the speech is “The Trump Administration, Halftime Report” A flying buffet with fine wine and selected drinks will be served.

Ingo began his career as a producer in the ARD studio in Washington, after competing law, history and American studies in Constance, Berlin and Boston. In 2014 he became the ARD correspondent in Washington, where he met and married his American wife, Jennifer. They moved to Hamburg in 2016, where he anchors the nightly Tagesthemen program. He has written a pair of books on American political themes during the last two years, titled FREMDES LAND AMERIKA and ANDERLAND, which he will gladly sign if you’d like to bring along a copy.

A photo ID is required for entrance, and mobile phones must be switched off.
