AMERIKA! DISNEY, ROCKWELL, POLLOCK, WARHOL – Guided Tour!

Source: Bucerius Kunstforum

We are thrilled to invite you to an exclusive American Club Evening to experience AMERIKA! DISNEY, ROCKWELL, POLLOCK, WARHOL at the new location of the Bucerius Kunst Forum.

Walt Disney, Norman Rockwell, Jackson Pollock and Andy Warhol were pioneers in their respective artistic styles. They were giants of the last century, who together created an image of the USA, indelibly etched into our collective memory. Disney colored the dreams of entire generations through animated films, such as Sleeping Beauty, Bambi and Fantasia. Rockwell chronicled small-town America, depicting the “American way of life.” With his “drip paintings,” Pollock was one of the most influential abstract artists of his time. Warhol bridged art and commerce with his iconic silkscreen paintings of the American consumer world and portraits of Hollywood stars, on his way to himself becoming an icon. The Bucerius Kunst Forum has done an incredible job in collecting 172 works of art from around the world of these four seminal figures, who each contributed to shaping the visual culture of the USA.
