This past Sunday, a team of players from the the U.S. Consulate and the American Club came together to compete in the Hamburg Stealer’s company baseball tournament. Our experience ranged from complete newbie to experienced pro, supported by expert coaching from Stealers player Brehan Murphy. Consul General Darion Akins joined our ranks for the first part of the day. A total of six teams from local companies competed in the tournament. The tournament kicked off at 10:00 in the morning, with all six teams playing each other throughout the day. While valiant efforts were not enough to put us in the top ranks in the end, thanks to Murph’s coaching we improved vastly and even managed to hit a couple home runs. We’ll be back for a rematch next year!
